VoIP

Voice over Internet Protocol. A means of using the IP (Internet Protocol) to transmit a voice signal that is employed in corporate LANs and Internet telephony. When used in mobile communication, it is called Wireless VoIP and is expected to become truly practical on fourth-generation mobile phone technology (4G).
