2.5G
2.5-generation mobile telephone technology. A digital mobile phone systems that stand between 2G and 3G. It involves the use of elemental 3G technology in systems that do not yet satisfy the requirements of 3G technology. These include GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) used in Europe and IS-95 (cdmaOne) used in Europe, North America and Japan.
